Hope

We promote Chinese-American youth development by fostering Chinese-American youth education and participation in science, arts, humanities, and community service; and organizing community activities to engage Chinese-American youth and to promote their identification with the Chinese culture.

Belief

We will also establish a Chinese-American senior community by providing assistance for Chinese-American senior immigrants’ cultural adjustment; and organizing social and cultural events for senior Chinese Americans’ relatives and friends.

Help

To maximize our impact on current efforts, we may seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations which fall under the 501(c) (3) section of the internal revenue code and are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.

Our Mission

The United Chinese Americans—Fargo-Moorhead (UCAFM) is a non-profit organization and shall be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code.

United Chinese Americans—Fargo-Moorhead (UCAFM)’s purpose is to promote fellowship and friendship among Chinese Americans; increase public awareness and understanding of the Chinese arts and culture; and help Chinese Americans integrate into the Fargo-Moorhead Community.

We enhance Chinese-American community engagement by organizing social and cultural events for Chinese Americans who live in the Fargo-Moorhead area; creating and maintaining media platforms to enhance communication within the Chinese-American community; promoting community-based events including sports, music, arts, languages, etc.; encouraging the establishment of groups based on shared interests, religions, and common needs among Chinese Americans; and enhancing outreach activities to foster connections between Chinese-American groups (e.g. sport clubs, Chinese language schools, Chinese churches, etc.) and other local and regional organizations.

At times, per the discretion of the board of directors, we may provide internships or volunteer opportunities which shall provide opportunities for involvement in said activities and programs in order to have a greater impact for change.
